This days Small Group Tour (1-18 passengers) begins at the prearranged hotels in Tórshavn and from there to Eysturoy via the only Sub-Sea Tunnel in the World that has a Roundabout underneath the Ocean.

On Eysturoy we exit the tunnel at Strendur and drive via the Western arm of Skálafjørður, the longest fjord in the Faroe Islands. The first stop on the tour is at the village Elduvík, where you will see wonderful nature and hear interesting stories.

From Elduvík the tour goes via Funningsfjord, past the village of Funningur, where the Sagas say early Norse settlers arrived and built their home around the year 800AD. From there you will drive down to the village Gjógv, where you will walk around the beautiful Gorge, hear stories and see the Church and memorial site there.

From Gjógv you will drive under the highest Mountain in the Faroes, Slættaratindur (882 Metres/2.894 feet) and stop at the Viewpoint Risin & Kellingin (the Giant and the Witch). These 2 free-standing Cliffs are said to be 2 Giants that wanted to pull the Faroes over to Iceland.

The next stop is at Café Rose in Ljósáir, where you will have some good lunch and rest a bit.

After lunch you will drive through the mountain and the opposite side of Skálafjørður to the southernmost point of Eysturoy, where there is a wonderful view over to Tórshavn and the East side of Nóloy.

From there it is a short drive to a local Wool shop Navia, where you will have an opportunity to purchase some Faroese knitwear and yarn before heading back to Tórshavn through the tunnel again.

Drop offs are at your hotels again.
